Buttero: New/Old Perforated Leather Taninos
Buttero is an Italian shoemaking company founded in 1974 by Mauro Sani with the intention of producing some of country’s finest footwear. Resorting to the most luxurious vegetable tanned leathers and remaining true to its origins, there’s a trademark craftsmanship and authenticity in everything the brand delivers.
The secret behind Buttero’s high quality and success lies in the Tuscan heritage it carries. The vegetable tanned Vacchetta leather, typical of the region, matures uniquely over time providing the shoes with a supple touch and a sophisticated look.
A far cry from the old-time Cowboys for which Buttero is named, the Tanino model, in fact, is inspired by the classic low profile sneaker design, however benefiting from their uniquely Italian eye for form, proportion and style. That is way Tanino is such a successful product.
This black leather Tanino sneaker is constructed from Italian Vacchetta leather – including the laces – and is finished with Buttero's embossed label on the vamps.
As you can see from the pictures, time does not wear out the shoe, on the contrary, the more you use it the more it takes on a true vintage look.
